SAP Architect - Internal Systems

SAP Architect, Remote from Slovakia

Your new company / Your new role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled candidate to join our client's dynamic and innovative team. As a SAP Architect – Internal Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete To-Be system landscape supporting Finance, Supply Chain, and HR functions.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure that the As-is, To-Be, Roadmap is aligned with IT goals and that the architecture is fit-to-purpose using optimised toolsets such as SAP and other platforms. The role requires assessing the current business capabilities delivered on SAP and assessing the right placement in the Target Architecture, potentially continuing in upgraded SAP, offloading to a Digital platform, or potentially another COTS platform.

You will also assess the cost/benefit and disposition towards the SAP4HANA upgrade requirement across SAP Platforms and assess where a direct upgrade makes sense vs. larger scale architecture refactor. You will ensure that the architecture supports modern 1-touch or zero-touch internal processes, streamlined self-service, and minimal customization of SAP or other COTS platforms.

Additionally, you will help Business Stakeholders align to out-of-box back-office processes and ensure alignment on accurate TCO impacts where this is not done.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A university degree with a focus on Computer Science, Information Systems, or another STEM field is required, providing a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technological skills.
  • Extensive experience in SAP solution architecture is necessary.
  • The ability to address key risk areas related to ERP TCO and a deep understanding of the trade-offs between delivering business capabilities on "SAP Stack" versus Open source or other SaaS solutions are essential.
  • Proficiency in general technology, knowledge of modern ERP trends, and experience in technology architecture and leadership roles on large enterprise transformation initiatives are also required.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, effective communication, and fluency in English, with German being an advantage, are necessary.
  • Additionally, the candidate should be a team player with excellent communication skills, open to travel, and capable of generating innovative ideas.Additionally, our way of working requires that you be a Team player with great Communication Skills, able to travel and produce out of the box ideas.
